British Juniors and Skiing with Bearsden

The day after the seniors was scheduled to be the juniors GS. Dave, Andy and I had all agreed to race in it, to help make the FIS points better for the younger guys. Sadly for the juniors it had dumped snow all night and the piste underneath hadn’t frozen, making it impossible to run a race. (But giving me a great chance to go and ski some good powder!)

The next day was supposed to be the juniors slalom but I had arranged to go skiing with some of the Bearsden kids, on the club holiday. It was a perfect day with some new snow and blue skies. I was put in charge of 9 kids and left to ski with them. Some of the kids hadn’t skied much on snow, others were quite experienced. i took them all around Courchevel and had a great time with them. I was slightly terrified of losing a child but managed to return them all safely. Hopefully they enjoyed the mornning and the rest of their holiday as much as I did.
