British Champs! Downhills

First up at the British we had the downhills. It was on a lengthened course this year starting higher than ever before but still coming down the main stade to the very bottom meaning we were carrying a lot more speed than ever before and making the jump at the top pretty big!
First training was cancelled with the snow not freezing properly overnight, meaning they ran the training run on the morning of the first race.
With the race running later in the day and everyone having already skied the course it got pretty bumpy! I skied well but made several small mistakes and came down 0.02 seconds behing Finlay so finishing second Brit. I was pretty pleased but equally very frustrated to lose out by such a small margin!
The next day was the juniors downhill in perfect conditions. Again I skied well but a few mistakes cost me. However from the two races I had made good FIS points so should start closer to the front next season so all good!
